Q & A
Hi Martin These tiles do not have glazed edges. However, two tips that may help is that for any external angles, the tiles can be mitred and the two pieces wrapped around the corner, and to finish an edge where the tiling stops, most people will apply a bead of decorators caulk and paint it to blend it to the wall colour. If you wish to discuss your project in more detail or to arrange samples or a quotation, please call our sales team on 01536 314730 or request a call-back via the link below, and they will be more than happy to help you. https://ideas.wallsandfloors.co.uk/request-a-callback Regards Walls And Floors

Hi Steve, These tiles can be used around wood burners. On the front face of the surround they will be ok. Crazing is a characteristic of ceramic tiles when used in areas of high and frequent temperature fluctuations, and if you intend to put them in the alcove around the back and sides of the burners, the crazing may be accelerated. We would recommend fixing any tile around a fireplace with the Palace Heat Resist adhesive: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/palace-heat-resistant-tile-adhesive-10-kg If you wish to discuss the installation further, please call our sales team on 01536 314730 and they will be more than happy to help you. Hi Andrew, It can happen but is rare and not the case with our current batch. When tiles are made the raw material is pressed to a shape approximately 10% larger than the intended finished size. As the tiles are fired, they shrink, but there are on rare occasions, some variables during manufacture such as kilning temperature fluctuations and cooling speed, that can affect the shrinkage, meaning the product sizes are subject to minor variations. However during quality control, the different sizes are sorted into set calibers before being packed, so one batch should be the same size, well within the allowable of tolerance of 0.6% (as per BSEN14411). This applies to all dust-pressed tiles, not just this one and any minor variations encountered during installation can easily be overcome by minor tile position adjustments before setting. I hope this answers you question, but if you need any further information, please contact our sales team on 01536 314730 and they will be more than happy to help. Regards Walls And Floors
