With regards to applying Kwik flex grey tile adhesive, id 10447, over self levelling compound (SLC). Is it advisable to apply a primer/sealer to the SLC first to prevent the moisture content of the adhesive being drawn out too quickly? Our Advice

Hi Emma Thanks for your query. You are quite right a primer should be used before the adhesive is applied! Mapei Primer G is suitable to go on SLC before tiling. Kind regards Walls and Floors

I’m laying a new patio , I’ve installed the sub base , 150 mm of type 1 well compacted. I want to lay porcelain tiles , what should I lay on top of the type 1 aggregate, should it be a sharp sand 6/1 screed semi dry . I need your adviceOur Advice

Hi Eddie, We wouldn't advise installing the tiles onto a semi-dry screed. We would suggest laying the tiles onto a fully cured cement base and adhering the tiles with our Kwik Flex Grey Floor Tile Adhesive ID: 10447 Kind regards,
