Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning and Maintenance
These tiles have a grid scored into their surface. Once you grout these scored lines, each tile looks like four separate tiles. We recommend using 2mm tile spacers between tiles for a grout line consistent with the scored line. When it comes to which grout to use, it comes down to your own personal taste, but customers tend to use a mid grey colour from our Mapei Ultracolour Plus Tile Grout range.

Q & A
Hi Betty, These tiles are not suitable, as they are ceramic. You'll need something porcelain to use externally. Kind Regards, Walls and Floors.
Hi Eunice yes, these are perfectly suitable for use on the wall. They are ceramic tile so would not require any additional selling to maintenance in this area. Kind Regards Walls and Floors
Hi Amor, Our Felicity White Tile (ID 24734) is the same tile but without the pattern that could be used as a border with the Scintilla TIles. Kind regards, Walls and Floors.
Hi Clare, As a ceramic tile, we would not advise using these tiles in a greenhouse due to the extreme temperature changes in the summer and winter, a porcelain tile would be a more suitable fit for this type of application. Kind regards, Walls and Floors
Hi Bethan Thanks for your query. To help ensure the overall appearance is achieved it is necessary to use the same grout between each individual tile as well as in the grout lines on the face of the tiles as well. One of the grouts most commonly bought by customers is https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/mapei-ultracolour-plus-grout-ultracolour-plus-112-medium-grey-tile-grout Kind regards Walls and Floors
Hi Zoe Adhesive wise, if the floor is perfectly flat, you will only require 1x20kg bag of a cement-based adhesive such as our Kwikflex (rapid setting) or Stand Flex (slow setting). We advise a fine joint grout such as the Norcros 4 Into 1 in any colour of your choosing: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/toolshed-tile-adhesive-kwik-flex-grey-floor-tile-adhesive https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/toolshed-tile-adhesive-standard-flex-grey-tile-adhesive https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/norcros-4-into-1-grout If you wish to discuss your project in more detail or to arrange samples or a quotation, please call our Sales Team on 01536 314730, and they will be more than happy to help you. Regards Walls And Floors
Hi Julie These tiles are ceramic so we would not recommend these for external use. The closest range we have in porcelain is the Astral Star range, however, these are not certified as anti-slip so there will be a potential risk of slipping if walked on in wet conditions. We would recommend obtaining a sample to ensure the texture is suitable for the anti-slip requirements of yourself and others who are likely to use them, before making your final decision: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/astral-star-pattern-tiles If you wish to discuss your project in more detail or to arrange samples or a quotation, please call our Sales team on 01536 314730 or request a call-back via the link below, and they will be more than happy to help you. https://ideas.wallsandfloors.co.uk/request-a-callback Regards Walls And Floors
